Join us this month on a special field trip with Rassol Bahreini , an Apiculture Research Scientist from the Crop Diversification Centre North! He will be testing some hives for mites and demonstrating the recommended ways to treat for mites eg. apivar strips, formic acid and oxalic acid vaporization.

Getting there can be tricky but we put together some directions for you:– Go south on Highway 21 and turn right on TWP 490. This is just beyond the 90 degree bend in Highway 21. You are initially going south but road bends back west. You will see the impressive set of buildings to the SW.– Go 1.5 miles/2.4 km west on gravel road. Turn left/south on RGE RD 224.
