Beginning Beekeeper Course

Saturday, May 4th

This course is taught by some of the most experienced beekeepers around.

The course covers city regulations, equipment, starting hives, tasks to be done each season, basic bee biology, treatments and winter preparations. Mentoring will occur in spring and summer.

Mentoring sessions are included which take place in the spring and summer for course graduates.

Malcolm and Craig will be running a beginner beekeeper course for the 5th year in NE Edmonton.  They are both highly respected beekeepers with many, many years of experience who work hard to promote beekeeping across all of Alberta.  Even though they are involved with the EDBA, this course runs independently of the EDBA.

The course is normally taught in NE Edmonton.  The exact location will be announced closer to the event.
